Freeze Frame and Live Data on the V310
Short answer: Freeze Frame is the snapshot saved with the engine code. Live data is what the engine is doing now.
On the V310 menu, View Freeze Frame sits next to Read Codes and Erase Codes. Live data can include engine speed, coolant temperature, vehicle speed and calculated load, where the car provides those values.
When to use each
Read the code first. Open Freeze Frame if you want the readings from the moment the light was stored. Leave the car running or the ignition on and watch live data if you are checking coolant temperature or engine speed now.
